As the new NFL season gets ready to start, the Chicago Bears announce that three familiar names will be gone including Taylor, Clark and Harrison.

Today the announcement came down from Bears management that three veteran players, familiar to the diehard Bears fans, will not be returning for the 2011 season. The three players include Chester Taylor, Desmond Clark and Marcus Harrison. That was just the start of the changes.

According to media reports, the Bears also informed running back Robert Hughes and wide receiver Kris Adams, tight end Andre Smith, guard Rick Henry, offensive tackle Levi Horn, defensive tackle Jordan Miller, linebacker Patrick Trahan and safety Anthony Walters were all placed on waivers.

The team has not made any formal announcement about it, but it looks like the Bears will also be carrying give undrafted rookie free agents onto the team. The team is expected, before the end of Saturday, to announce their final roster for the new season. Reportedly the team has cleared 12 roster slots to make room for the rookies. The team also reportedly sent rookie linebacker J.T. Thomas to injured reserve.

Of the undrafted rookies, it looks like wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, tight end Kyle Adams, defensive end Mario Addison, linebacker Dom DeCicco and safety Winston Venable will all be on the roster for the team set to take the field for the first official game next week.

Things have been interesting as far as Chester Taylor is concerned. Reportedly he walked out of Halas Hall, where the Bears train, this past Monday. He told the press that he had heard he was cut. Coach Lovie Smith then said that Taylor was not cut and Taylor apologized. Then, it seems, he has now been permanently cut from the team.

Taylor now becomes and unrestricted free agent and will not have to clear waivers to go out and find another team.
