The incident happened at the 103 mile marker near Elkhart County. The accident closed both lanes of the Indiana Toll Road, also known as Interstate 80/90. The accident involved a van filled with people and a tractor trailer which collided with it.
According to media reports, the van hit a deer. When the van slammed to a stop, the tractor trailer behind it collided with the rear end of the van.
