The mansion that director Francis Ford Coppola used to film parts of The Godfather movie is now up for sale. The price tag is listed as $2.9 million, according to a story on CNN.

The mansion is four-acres in size. The current owner is Jim Norton and he told the media that he put the mansion up for sale after his father passed away.

Huge mansion on Staten Island

The mansion is located on Staten Island, New York. It is an eight-bedroom, five-bathroom house. It also has a four-car garage, two fireplaces, an English-style pub inside and an in-ground swimming pool.

The grounds and the exterior of the home became famous in the movie adaptation of the Mario Puzo novel The Godfather. Fans of the movie may remember the opening scene of the movie where mafia boss, Vito Corleone, sees people and grants them favors, from money to murder, on the day of his daughter’s wedding. The home was featured throughout the first two movies in the three-movie series.

According to Norton, his mother collected memorabilia from the movie set while the cast and crew were there filming. Some of those include photographs and autographs from cast and crew.
