Lizard Lick Towing: Fire-bombing crazies reminder of repo dangers

Mechele R. Dillard's picture

Cousin Johnny is gone from Lizard Lick Towing, but the craziness continues as usual for the team, even on their day at the beach.

So, it is a week after Ronnie, owner of Lizard Lick Towing, finally wised up about his sneaky Cousin Johnny and pitched him back out on the street where he belonged. But, this week, he had another problem to deal with: A nighttime repo.

It’s hard enough, one would imagine, doing a repo in the daytime, without the cover of night hiding cars, people and other problems. Then again, one could use the night to their advantage—which is what the guys from Lizard Lick planned to do. It looked like, in fact, that it was going to be an easy, clean repo—but is anything ever clean and easy on truTVs Lizard Lick Towing?

It’s hard to believe that anyone would be as crazy as the owners of this truck were, but they literally firebombed the barn where the truck was sitting and locked Ronnie and Bobby inside.

Really? Over a truck that you have not even paid for?

It is truly funny how people react when their vehicles are repossessed, typically indignant, as if the cars/trucks/motorcycles/whatever are, well, theirs. Here’s the deal: If you “buy” something on credit and do not pay for it, it’s not yours.

Honestly, what is wrong with people? They actually were going to stand there and watch that barn burn down around two human beings, cheering.

Moreover, they actually had the audacity to show up at Lizard Lick the next day with a gun, ready to shoot someone over that truck they didn’t pay for in the first place.

Crazy—plain crazy.

Just Another Day at the Beach

It’s a reality television show, yes, probably some staging going on with the fire-bombers (the camera crew, after all, was set up inside and outside the barn, apparently, calmly filming Ronnie and Bobby inside and the crazies outside cheering their demise), but, you know, repo really is a dangerous profession—things really do happen. But, staging or otherwise, the Lizard Lick team cannot even seem to take a relaxing day at the beach without trouble. Taking everyone to the beach for a day off, Ronnie spots a dune buggy that he was sure they had repossession papers for—and, they did. Next thing you know, they are rolling in the sand, repoing the dune buggy and getting the cops involved.

“I knew it, Ronnie; you couldn’t even take one day off,” Amy said, aggravated.

But, hey, it was all worth it, getting to see Juicy strut her stuff on the beach as a “distraction”—you go girl!

By the way: In case anyone missed it, the candy Cousin Johnny “sold” for Ronnie’s kid was found, melted and ruined, in the back of a vehicle on the lot. Where did he get the money he came up with for the candy he “sold?”

Stay tuned.
