Texas Roadhouse is giving away $5 Bonus eGift Cards for every $30 spent on the online purchase of gift cards.
According to Texas Roadhouse, the Bonus eGift Card will be sent to the purchaser via e-mail in the form of one eGift Card. The value may vary, according to how much you spend online, and there is a maximum limit of $100 per order--but seriously, who is going to spend $600 on eGift Cards for their friends and families?
Is the deal worth it? While it may not qualify you for a free or greatly reduced-cost meal, $5 saved is $5 saved. It might enable you to snag a free or greatly reduced-cost appetizer, which are often ample enough to make a meal for one. My personal recommendations are The Blossom (a hand-battered deep-fried onion with Cajun dipping sauce), the Rattlesnake Bites (hand-battered deep-fried jalapenos with jack cheese and Cajun dipping sauce) or the Tater Skins (potato skins topped with bacon, cheddar cheese and sour cream).
It can also make a Legendary Steak affordable for the most meager budget. I'm a big fan of the USDA Choice Sirloin, which the chain claims to age longer for a more tender and flavorful cut. That comes with two sides, which for me would be the mashed potatoes and the Caesar salad.
Are you a fan of country-style cooking? Then you might want to try the Country Fried Sirloin, which is a hand-breaded deep-fried sirloin topped with made-from-scratch gravy. In Indiana we refer to it as chicken-fried steak and it's a popular way to clog your arteries.
Keep in mind that whatever dish you purchase comes with complimentary peanuts and yeast rolls with cinnamon butter. The rolls are made from scratch and baked at regular 5-minute intervals throughout the day. So even an appetizer can become a full meal.
On the whole, the deal is a good one, and much more reasonable than the $50 or even $100 deals you see elsewhere. So if you want reasonable savings for a reasonable price, check out this deal.
