You have three Party Platter options: Big Mouth Bites, Boneless Buffalo Wings, and Fajitas. Which one you order might depend on which team you're watching.
Are you a traditionalist? Then you'll want to eat Boneless Buffalo Wings while watching the publicly owned Green Bay Packers, one of the few NFL teams to never threaten to leave town. A platter costs $49.99 and feeds four to six people. According to Chili's, the wings are hand-tossed in spicy Buffalo sauce. They are served with cold bleu cheese dressing and fresh celery. A reliable meal for a faithful team.
Are you the All-American type? Then you'll want to munch Big Mouth Bites while watching the Dallas Cowboys. A platter costs $39.99 and feeds four to six people. According to Chili's, the Big Mouth Bites are miniature beef burgers with applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, sauteed onions and homemade ranch dressing. In other words, an American standby with a little bit of zest. If that doesn't describe Dallas, I don't know what does.
Do you like a little spice in your step? Then you'll want to devour Fajitas while watching my team, the Indianapolis Colts (who one of these days are going to cause my heart to explode in one of their famous chokes or comebacks). The fajitas are either marinated steak, chicken or both with grilled onions and grilled bell peppers. They are served with warm tortillas, homemade pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream. They also come with free beans and rice. A platter costs $49.99. A spicy food for a suspense-loving team just makes sense.
Is the deal worth it? If you're throwing a party, yes. The only reason I won't take advantage of this deal is because I don't throw Game Day parties. My idea of a party--the Indianapolis Colts versus the Denver Broncos with the TV muted, the radio tuned to the Voice of the Colts Bob Lamey, and some Fajitas to wolf down along with the free Chips and Salsa and Strawberry Lemonade.
The free food and drink is valid only on To-Go orders. All To-Go orders must be called in by 10:00 a.m. on Game Day. Each Party Platter feeds between 4 to 6 people, according to Chili's. The Party Platter deals expire on February 11, 2014.
Chili's web site did not contain nutritional information for the Party Platters.
