I have had sellers follow me throughout the house and contest everything I tell the buyer.
I have had sellers state I do not know what I am doing because I am doing my job as an inspector, and they don't like it because I am finding the issues for the buyer.
If you continue to be a snotty seller and a pest during the inspection of your home, you will likely regret it.
I treat people professionally, and kindly. I expect the same in return. I do not tell buyers the house is no good, or use filthy language to decimate their home, but angering the inspector is the most counter-productive thing you can do. I am sure I do not have to explain.
The best thing is for the listing agent to get the seller to go shopping or something besides stay in the house at the inspection. Get 'em out as they will cause their own problems.
That is, if you really want and need to sell. If you want to cause issues and ill feelings at the home inspection, the buyers pick up on these things and it turns them off!
