After a “series finale” and a predictable “build-off,” American Chopper is finally set to come to a close tonight on the Discovery Channel after a 10-year run.
Fans will get a chance to see how it all began for the Teutuls and television on “Countdown to the End.” For those who have been watching American Chopper since the beginning, no doubt the walk down memory lane will bring back some good ol’ days, as well as some not-so-good ol’ days. If nothing else, fans will see what a big difference 10 years has made to the looks of the cast and the make-up of the shops, as well:
Record-Breaking Build-Off
Fans will no doubt flock to tonight’s episode, following the gigantic turnout for American Chopper: Live Build-Off. According to Discovery Channel, American Chopper: The Revenge live special, along with the sneak peek premiere of Amish Mafia, broke Discovery Channel ratings records on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and were the #1 and #2 cable programs, respectively, among Persons and Men 25-54, Persons and Men 18-49 and Men 18-34, and M18+ delivery on Tuesday night. Additionally, Discovery Channel was the #1 network among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34 delivery, no exclusions, and it beat all major broadcasts and every cable network in key male demos for Tuesday evening Prime Time.
American Chopper Live: The Revenge earned a 2.77 HH rating and a 2.51 P25-54 rating delivering 3.91 million total viewers P2+, making it the #1 television program, no exclusions, among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34.
Tonight, fans will wrap up their weekly TV relationships with the Teutuls, and no doubt American Chopper viewer loyalty will be reflected in the ratings tomorrow.
American Chopper begins its goodbye to fans on the Discovery Channel tonight at 8 p.m., with the Teutuls’ final goodbye beginning at 9 p.m.
