HGTV Beachfront Bargain Hunt gives waterfront lovers hope they can live in a seafaring environment on a tight budget.
This week, a couple looked at beach homes in Fort Myers, Florida with a budget of just $175,000 or less.
Finding a bargain on the beach or by the water is definitely a challenge but HGTV Beachfront Bargain Hunt proves it can be done.
This week a couple searched for a fantastic house for under $175,000 in Fort Myers, Florida. Is it really possible to get such an incredible deal?
Keeping Within The Budget
Joe and Brandi fell in love in Fort Myers and are determined to purchase a waterfront property in the place they found true romance.
The couple lived in Carolina but knew they wanted to relocate.
They also had a lofty wish list that would make many people give up before they even got started.
Finding a waterfront property for under one million dollars is almost impossible.
Despite this fact, Joe and Brandi set a small budget of $175,000.
Usually HGTV Beachfront Bargain Hunt works with home buyers who have a budget of $300,000 or less.
In this case, the couple wanted to spend half the customary cost of a bargain beach house. Fortunately, they had a dedicated realtor to help them out.
Visiting The Houses
Realtor Denise Corey worked hard to help Joe and Brandi find their dream beach home.
She let them know it would be tough to stay within their stringent budget.
Despite that fact, she found three viable choices for the couple to consider.
The buyers wanted to be close to the Gulf so they could be out on the water in less than a half hour.
They also wanted docking in their own backyard, a decent sized yard and attractive interior amenities.
While waterfront homes are pricey, Denise gave them fantastic options.
Ultimately, the couple chose a pink, two-bedroom home with an inviting kitchen and living area.
The pink color seemed to put them off at first but they quickly realized what a great deal the house was.
While the yard was not as big as Joe wanted, the dock space and location made this home a real beachfront bargain.
For just $120,000, this couple will live in a cozy home with water views on a canal and it will take less than a half hour to reach the Gulf by boat.
Little Pink Houses For You And Me
We recently moved into a waterfront home and it took years to find it.
Having a dock space in your own backyard is a boater’s dream come true.
One of my friends encouraged me to consider Florida and now I know why.
Who would believe you could score a beautiful house on a canal for under $150,000?
I didn’t believe it until I saw HGTV Beachfront Bargain Hunt.
It brings to mind the John Cougar Mellencamp song, “Little Pink Houses.” It seems those little pink houses are definitely out there for you and for me!
