Jake Golic Becomes Notre Dame’s 1st 2009 Commitment

Jake Golic, the son of ESPN sports talk radio host Mike Golic, has committed to Notre Dame, becoming the first 2009 commitment for Charlie Weis and the Fighting Irish.

Jake follows his brother, Mike Jr., his father, and two uncles, Bob and Greg, to South Bend. Mike Jr. committed last season and is an incoming freshman.

Unlike his father and brother, Jake Golic is a tight end. Standing 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds, Golic caught 21 passes for 410 yards with two touchdowns for Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT).

Mike Golic, Sr. is the co-host for ESPN radio show “Mike and Mike in the Morning,” along with Mike Greenberg.
